Lovely, clean and quiet and very cozy apartment . 2 very comfortable bedrooms, each with private bathroom. Great location. Anna was a perfect host. Very easy to communicate with, and attentive to detail.

I only stayed for a night, but i could book the apartment nevertheless, just one day before the stay. It was kind of an emergency so i was lucky to get it. I had a whole squeaky-clean, big, light and super-calm apartment just to myself (including the kitchen which is in the spacious living room). Everything is pretty spacious there. I had to kill some time before I could get into the front door of the house, but there's a very nice café just next door where you can wait and have a latte macchiato. To get the key for the apartment, there is a key box right in front of the apartment which is on the third floor (no elevator, I think, but I'm used to living on the fourth floor with no lift)- and the host sends you a little film on whatsapp which shows the way to get it out with the number combination and such. Pretty cool - and the simplest way to explain everything. So then you let yourself in. My toilet had a seal on it, which made me feel like i was the first person to move into this apartment. There was also still some blue tape in the fridge. It really looks like brand-new, this apartment. Everything was super-clean. And warm. (It was the beginning of autumn). My host (I think her name is Anna) was very forthcoming and then she also came later to to bring an extra little carpet for the shower for when you step out of the shower, and to meet me to see if everything was alright. She then also told me she had two other, smaller apartments which she rents for only 70€ a night. But I think those have no kitchen in them. She told me various options to get to my next airport in Trieste (Ronchi dei Legionari - the smallest airport you have ever seen - including a private taxi which she called for me to learn about the price. It costs 50€ by the way). Another friend in Gorizia had recommended the bus to me. In the end I took the train. You can totally walk to the train station (25 minutes maybe) from the apartment, if you only have a trolley with wheels.

There was no fruit-peeler, when I was there. All the other kitchen- equipment was there though. Even things like olive oil and salt and pepper and some other food / spices you usually need for cooking. Anna told me she would get a fruit peeler for future guests. I know it's a minor thing, but I can get real cranky if i can't peel my apples the way I'm used to. I could not easily open the droop windows which are high up, since it's an attic apartment. I need fresh air and the possibility of sticking my head out into the air. There's no such luck if you live in an attic apartment with high ceilings. The air in the apartment was warm and quite dry and I had a stuffed nose from a cold. Anna told me though, if there are more people, she usually gets out the ladder from some closet which was tucked away and locked. I could manage to open the windows by myself though, by climbing on one of the the two bar-stools which are there in the apartment. Which is a bit tricky and maybe also a bit dangerous. I suggested some poles with a hook on them to her. But maybe this ladder thing is just fine. Just be sure to tell Anna you need it, I'm sure she'll get it out for you. I was only staying there for a night, and I know it's quite a palaver, I'm a bit picky as a guest, I have to say- Anna has probably other guests to attend to too, who stay for longer.

The apartment is spatious, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, equipped with everything you could need. It felt like home from the first minute. Anna is the sweetest host ever!
