The Lions Den flat at the red lion public house.

There is parking at the property. When we arrived, we were shown to our accommodation and given information regarding the keys, locking inner and outer doors and WI-FI connection details. The flat was clean and spacious. There was complimentary biscuits to have with tea and coffee, which was supplied in abundance. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We would definitely stay at the Red Lion again.

Not really a negative, but we would have liked to have had a bread knife, but didn't realise until the morning. I am sure if I had realised and asked when we arrived, they would have supplied one, as they were very friendly and helpful.

no mirror above wash hand basin in bathroom. not a lot of sound insulation in the ceiling you can hear every footstep that the owners made transmitting through the ceiling above. had trouble using the remote control to turn up the heating.

The location was perfect for our event up the road, and the property was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. The hosts were flexible when our arrival time changed, and were great at communication.

A beautiful hidey hole away from the world to catch your breath. Lovely and clean with all the bits needed for cooking etc. Comfortable bed and well chosen decor. I will be using the 'Lion's Den' again in future. Julia was also lovely, accommodating and professional.

Apartment was immaculate. Lovely and clean, and cosy. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Sofa bed was ready and made up for our daughters on arrival. Was easy to get in and out of Newbridge and less than 30mins to get to/from centre of Cardiff. Host was welcoming and really helpful.

Being picky and maybe missed it, but slightly more info on location of apartment and how to collect keys would have been helpful. Pub was closed when we arrived and front door locked. We thought apartment was behind/above pub but was actually behind/beside pub and accessed through car park.

It’s a terrific place to stay with everything we could need in a great location for exploring this wonderful part of Wales from. It was like a home from home.

Nothing. Couldn't fault a night in an apartment, with everything we need for 80 quid!
