"Great Stay in St Andrew"

A week stayed for golf in St Andrew was lovely. Fully equipped with kitchen utensils. Master room was superb however the twins is quite small per photos in Booking.com. Additional space for reading room is useful for the golf bags & stuff. The washing machine got problem earlier but fixed and happy for that. Shall consider this place for future!

"Overall good but could have been much better had the management company did their job!!"

The lodge had everything available for cooking, washing and drying clothes. It was a cozy place once we got pass the first couple of days due to a rocky start. It is fairly close to St Andrews and a quiet location which we enjoyed a lot.

When we arrived on day 1, it was self check in. You would think that the management company would have EVERYTHING set up for your stay or at the very least.. provide detailed instructions on how to turn everything on. The water heater/boiler system, microwave, air fryer, oven were all not working. We called the Premier Stays (mgmt co) number several times but no response. We tried again after getting groceries and finally got through to the owner of the management company. She eventually got to the lodge in 20 min to turn on the boiler system, turn on switches etc to ensure all is working. In addition, the fireplace, one burner on the stove along with clocks were not working and no blow dryer was in the lodge. The stay would have been even better had the front office showed empathy and apologized for not having anything set up. Isn’t this an expectation to check that everything is working and setup when you book accommodations anywhere?? After the 1st night, the main bedroom did not have the heater on so it was a cold night. Again no instructions. When you called the front desk for help the next day, the property manager did come over to turn the heater on in every room. It’s not a wall switch to turn the heat on so it wasn’t clear how it all worked. This should have ALL been turned on PRIOR to arrival. If you are from Europe, it may be self explanatory but North America is different setup for heater and switches. The management company had a tendency to deflect all issues to the owner to fix. Isn’t this what the owners pay the management company to do when looking after the lodges on their behalf?? Owners- heads up.. in addition, our friends stayed in another lodge, same location and had a totally different experience that us. Everything was working and set up when they arrived.
