Super location right at the heart of city. Big space with very spacious rooms and washrooms. Although washrooms are not attached. Every attraction is walking including Buchanan street.

Parking is on the road and not sure if free.

Never had such an omnishambolic stay as here. When we entered the properly we were hit with a wall of heat. On the hottest day of the year so far, all of the radiators were on full blast. We searched everywhere for a manual but couldn’t find one so turned each radiator off individually. There was what looked like a digital thermostat but it wasn’t switched on and there was no switches to turn it on either. Next we chose our rooms. The larger double room at the top of the house had several stains on the carpet and the window was unable to be opened (not ideal with the heating on full). The twin room downstairs had a hole in the wall. In the “garden” there was a leftover plank of wood held up by two plant pots made to look like a bench but nobody could trust it enough to sit on it properly. We were told there was WiFi and what looked like a router unplugged on the living room floor. We plugged it in and asked the owner for the details. The WiFi name mentioned never appeared. We tried putting it in manually and again, nothing appeared. As the TV was connected to the WiFi, we had no TV. As it’s an old building, we couldn’t get signal inside so couldn’t even use our own 4/5G. We headed off into Glasgow and on our return there was a line of ants trailing from the back door (which doesn’t open) and into the sink and fridge lining. All we had done was leave a used water glass in the sink. We made the best of the situation and all headed to bed. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. It was very clear that the pillows had been overused and had no softness to them. The mattresses themselves were too thin and sat too deep within the bed frame. It was easily the most uncomfortable nights sleep I’ve ever had. The next morning we checked on the cars to find parking tickets, despite being told that we could park for free from 6PM-8AM, we received a ticket at 8:04PM. The property’s location is great. It’s ideal for getting out and away from the property.

The location

The property was in a very poor state re. maintenance. There were ants all over the kitchen worktops, empty beer cans and random planks of wood scattered around the garden, and even a hole in the wall. The carpets were stained, and bins were still full upon arrival.There were no instructions provided for the heating system or any safety guidelines, which is unacceptable. One of the bedrooms didn’t have a main light at all, and another had only a single lamp where two should have been. The bathroom grout was orange with grime, indicating a lack of proper cleaning.Most beds had only a single sheet between us and the mattress—despite the likelihood of multiple previous occupants—and the beds themselves were extremely uncomfortable, with poor-quality mattresses that should be replaced. It.’s clear that feedback from past reviews has not been addressed, and overall, the property falls well below acceptable.

Lovely place to stay! Really clean, spacious, had everything we needed. Good communication from host and location was perfect for us.
