Cozy, spacious and calm apartment - top location

Really lovely apartment in a fantastic area of the city. Close to a tram line, with cafes and supermarket very close by, a short walk to the main squares, museums and sights. It is in a very quiet location - we didn't get disturbed by any noise at all, in an apartment block which is well kept up. The host was extremely helpful and friendly, the apartment is as described but bigger than the photos imply. It is basically one space, but with corners which block sound and allow children to sleep while you are in the living room. I'd recommend to anyone and definitely would consider staying on future visits.

This would be the perfect apartment for a couple visiting Helsinki. The apartment was warm, the kitchen well equipped, and the lift to the apartment was pretty special! The beds in the bedroom were very comfortable. Location was fantastic. Rina was very accommodating and friendly and I would definitely recommend this apartment!

The sofabeds were a bit uncomfortable, with the pull out drawer one having a very hard bar across the front edge of the sofa which was painful after a night's sleep! It's all open plan without doors, so if someone snores then there's no escaping it! A second key would have been really handy, one of our group went out late at night and couldn't get in without one of the other of us getting up and going downstairs to open the door.for them. No issue if you're sticking together!

This spacious apartment was very comfortable, warm, clean and well located - there are two tram lines within easy walking distance. The owner's notes were very helpful and much appreciated - particularly with regard to restaurants in the neighbourhood (we tried two of them and both were very good). For additional personal space we had requested that one bed and the sofa-bed be made up and this was done with no problems. The sofa bed isn't super comfortable, but it's ok for a short stay. The kitchen was well stocked, including ground coffee which was lovely. There's a supermarket just a short walk away. The internet worked well. The old fashioned lift was a blast from the past, but worked perfectly and we were thankful for it when we arrived/departed with bulky luggage.

A microwave would be a very useful addition to the kitchen and this is the main reason I didn't give a higher rating. There's no TV either, although for us that wasn't a problem - just something to note because it's rather unusual (this was clear on the booking.com website, so this is a comment, not a complaint). Some of the sliding doors on the cupboards/wardrobe had come out of their frames but this was a small matter. The washing machine worked well, but needs stabilising to prevent damage to the drum and to make it less noisy - we used paper under one corner, but it should be permanently fixed. I agree with another reviewer's comments about the lighting needing to be improved - to work in the evenings I needed to move one of the table lamps onto the table right next to me and even then would have liked a brighter bulb.

A lovely apartment and an extremely generous host, who was able to accommodate us on short notice. The apartment was extremely pleasant to stay in and the washing machine was particularly useful. We very much enjoyed our stay here

Great location, friendly and responsive hosts, clean, nice value for money apartment.

Internet was a bit hectic - on and off all the time. Ah, and parking - was VERY expensive. It is mentioned on the page of the property, that parking is available, the host told us it is a couple euros per hour. SO it is 4 euros+ per hour and over 40 EUR per day!!

Fast, clear communication, well located

A well-kept apartment with personality. It felt like visiting friends.

Great location 15 mins walk from centre, tram stop just around corner, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Stayed in February and apartment was lovely and warm. Quite spacious for central apartment with large entrance hall for coats and boots and plenty of space in lounge to leave one sofa bed made up and still have a good lounge area with second sofa. Nice new shower room and bathroom. Kitchen large enough to cook and eat in if required. Good value for money for space and location. Excellent customer service from host who was very helpful in advance of our trip.

A minor thing perhaps but the lighting really needs improving - lounge area lit only by couple of lamps and so difficult to see what you were doing. The beds were OK, not great, especially the sofa bed which was pretty poor quality and had a very thin mattress. Adequate but basic furnishings throughout.
