Open Mind Property - Apartment with 2 Double Beds

The property was clean and very near to the family I was visiting for Christmas

They were not double beds, but queens. Very small. The eaves were difficult to navigate we encountered many head bruises and the lastminute change to the property was very disappointing. We had only one key which made logistics daily very difficult. for me, personally, the bedding was horrible, nylon, cheap - very uncomfortable. The attic flat was also really really hot. I know they try to say that this property could host 4 people - it was a squeeze for 2.

Well priced. Kitchen has everything you would need. The apartment is a great size. Smart TV. Two double beds. Plenty of towels.

A lot of forms needed to confirm booking despite having already paid. Bathroom lock falls out sometimes. Beddings and towels smelt damp. The host did arrange for new bedding to be sent but one set smelt damp again, so we could only replace one set of bedding and utilise one of the beds. The laundry isn’t being dried properly and that’s why the bedding and towels have a stale smell. The towels leave dark grey fluff all over hands and body. This can be fixed by hot washing the towels, so I suspect they were new and not washed before given to the guests. A full length mirror would be a great addition to the flat.

Lovely clean apartment in a fabulous location. 2 mins walk to shops, restaurants & bars. 20 mins walk to southsea beach, 30 mins walk to portsmouth harbour/city. Everything we needed for our 3 nights stay. The beds were comfy. Big TV. Towels, few toiletries/toilet roll, tea/coffee/sugar, washing up liquid & sponge provided. Would defo stay again.

We had a great stay, so not a negative but just a few suggestions: A full length mirror would be nice. Although the bed was comfy, the pillows could be much better. A dish towel for the kitchen.
