Eta's Manor @ Brooklands

The place was much better than in the pictures,big jacuzzi and spacious top flour 2 bed apartment. It was 4 of us celebrating my birthday. There is everything you need for your stay,fully equipped kitchen with 2 big bedrooms completely private on the top floor with the views to the sea and beautiful gardens. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Derek and Eta was very frienly and made us feel very welcome. They are very caring and lovely people and I definitely recommend to stay at Eta's Manor if you looking to visit Lake District and fancy a stroll by the sea.

Really enjoyed the location and the views. Derek and Eta were so friendly and accommodating. They gave us complete trust and privacy during our stay and we felt so comfortable in their home. Jacuzzi was perfect and felt like we would never get out! 100% would book again in future.

Derek and Eta were very welcoming. We ere on our bikes and mine broke down and they were very accommodating in helping arrange recovery and seeing that it got home safe.

Mit viel Liebe zum Detail saniert. Die Vermieterin ist äußerst hilfsbereit. Schöne Gartenfläche mit hübscher Terrasse im Garten. Dort auch Hot Tub nutzbar. Wäsche kann bei der Vermieterin gewaschen werden.

Leider kein Geschirrspüler, für 5 Leute ist der Essplatz in der Küche etwas eng. Zum sehr schönen Essplatz auf der Terrasse sind 2 Etagen zu überwinden.

Impressive old house, Hot tub is nice. Clean. Nicely decorated.

We thought we were booking a 2 bed apartment with multiple bed options available for 4 (for £219). But we were told on arrival that we had only booked the apartment and ONE of the bedrooms, so the other bedroom door was locked. This is not what the booking said. I then showed the host my booking which clearly says ENTIRE APARTMENT (see photo). She showed me her phone & said booking.com are at fault. She said if we wanted both bedrooms it would have been over £300 as it sleeps 8! I queried whether or not the apartment is big enough for 8. Asked for the other bedroom door to be unlocked, which it was, but no extra bedding was provided as there would then be too much bedding to be washed (?!) and we only booked for 4 ppl so only get two doubles. So we ended up with two bedrooms but still only bedding for two double beds. We didn't end up using both bedrooms though as the flat was cold. An electric heater was provided on request but this meant we only had one warm room. Host said they put the heat on that morning, but it takes time to heat up. It was OK until the heating went off in the night and then the apartment was very cold again. My husband, 6ft 3, was sharing one double duvet and a thin blanket with our 11 year old who kept pulling it off him in the night. So he was very cold and hardly slept. I fed back to the host that the apartment was cold, was told that the weather is cold now, no one else has ever complained & we should have gone downstairs in the night, after midnight, to knock on their bedroom door to get extra bedding? Surely, just providing the no of beds/bedding which is listed when booking on here in the first place would be best? We also had to give £50 in cash to use their towels plus the extra cost of £25 for the hot tub (also not mentioned when booking). So you need to hand over £75 in cash on arrival if you want towels and to use the hot tub. After we left, host followed up with an offer of a half price 2nd stay. Which is...

Gastvrij en hartelijk. Geen moeite was teveel.

Everything was awesome, the house is beautiful, beds are very comfy, the kitchen is fully assorted, the bathroom is great and everything was most than clean, immaculate. The hot tub is fantastic, and Eta's attention was wonderful, always nicely looking after us while keeping our privacy. We had an amazing weekend and we'd love to be back soon!
