"I'm glad to have found this hidden gem!"

If you're looking for a get-away far from the hustling city life, and are looking for some peace and breath-taking views (especially in the monsoon), this is the place! I never could think of something this serene just 2-3 hours away from Mussoorie. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying at Shoonya, and the support staff (Uhmm.. sorry, still trying to think through the names) were very kind and helpful. The food was utterly delicious too! They did serve some local delicacies that surely made our tummies roll out with joy. 😊 I think Shoonya has surely made upto my list of favorite hide-outs. I look forward to visiting again soon!

"real experience of nature but with comforts too!"

The caretaker was kind and very flexible about meal times - all the cooking was fresh and local food grown nearby - really healthy and sustaining for the long hikes we went on nearby. Place is not at all busy - very simple and remote but still beautiful with a nearby temple and stream - small villages etc. Nice for walks and scenery and even lots of cute animals nearby.

We would have benefited from some jalis on the doors as in such nature-surrounded places insects come in very easily.
