NLUpon arrival at this booking, I proposed to my girlfriend, marking the true beginning of our journey through New Zealand. In consultation with the host, i was able to arrange some extra decorations for an additional cost, including champagne, local wine, and various decorations. It exceeded all our expectations. The roses came from the garden of the in-laws, which we also had the chance to visit—a highly recommended experience if you appreciate beautifully maintained gardens within walking distance. On behalf of my wife and me, I would like to thank the hosts, Matt & Bev, once again for the wonderful stay, excellent communication, and great assistance.
USNLGreat location in a quiet and rural area, some 15 to 20 minutes drive from the city center of Christchurch. Plenty of opportunity to go on nice walks. Halswell Quarry is about 7 minutes drive away and a great location for walks. The accomodation is cosy and has a fully equipped kitchen, although small. In the online contact we had with the hosts they were very friendly and helpful. Nice Italian restaurant located just across the road within 2 minutes walk.
The bed had a hard mattress. Investment in a better quality bed would be recommended.
ITLocation very peaceful but not too far from city, cottage is cute, clean with all necessary amenities including heating and air-conditioning, no issues with mosquitos or other insects

AUhosts are very welcoming and friendly. All details for check in and the stay were well communicated before arrival. Cottagge was fantastic for us, we loved the quirky charm of the old style building with it's uneven floors. Thank you, we would stay here again at the next trip to Christchurch.

NZConvenient for CHCH, but lovely rural location. Everything was easy and as described. Comfortable and homely. Nice personal touches with teas, snacks etc. Good restaurant across the road.
