Villa Sonia - Vista Mare

La piscina e' molto bella

Il wifi non ha mai funzionato e siamo stati invasi dalle formiche. La cucina dentro non era funzionante quindi anche con la pioggia bisognava uscire fuori per cucinare

The good: - The pool is very nice. - The AC in each bedroom (none in common area) worked well. - The nearby beach is beautiful and clean. - Very quiet neighborhood. - There are many great restaurants within a short drive (it's Italy).

The bad: - The indoor cooktop and oven are purely decorative and not functional - the gas line has been cut and turning on the oven blows all the fuses immediately. - There is no microwave, so you must do all cooking/heating up outside on the outdoor gas cooktop. - The internet did not work for even one minute during our stay. Supposedly "they are doing work in the neighborhood" but no solution was proposed. - There are no basic kitchen knives, vegetable peeler etc. Apparently nobody here cooks. - The ants outside are vicious - dropping any food on the ground will provoke a swarm. - The barbeque is a charcoal setup, but there are no tools or cleaning brush and note the previously mentioned ants. - The "Vista Mare" only applies if you climb a perilous spiral staircase to an unshaded roof deck. The sea is visible as a thin blue line in the distance. - Unlike most surrounding properties, the driveway is not set back from the very narrow and walled street. This means you need to do a very tight 90 degree multi-point turn unless you are driving a Fiat Panda. - The astroturf around the pool and in the garden was a bummer. A basic xeriscape design for this climate would be much more sensible.
