Madhawa Ubud Villa & Spa

Simply amazing, we did not want to leave. If you plan to be outside of Ubud, in the jungle, closer to the rice terraces - this is a place to go. Villa is luxurious, they thought of every detail - comfy bed canopy style, shower with rocks on the floor, big tub overlooking the pool, two sinks (his and hers), light in the pool for night, sofa and kitchen table overlooking the pool, a lot of greenery and plants to compliment the jungle vibe. Even the entrance to the villa has this balinese style door. AC works great. There is even light on the round shaped ceiling. The breakfast is amazing, there is indonesian and continental choice. Juices are great. I recommend taking the floating breakfast one or more times (depending on the length of your stay). Location is close to a small shop, and a few nice restaurants and warungs ( warung accross the street, nice european style place in rice fields Tini Kitchen is also 10 min walk). The owners are amazing, especially the wife which made us feel like royalty, to say the least. Clean. The sun beds are great with some nice towels. And these pictures don’t do it justice. The sounds of the jungle are addicting and perfect for sleeping. 1000 out of 10 overall.

Nothing. Only recommendation to the owners is to make new pictures and update them on Booking because in real life, the villa and the view look 1000 times better. See my pictures :)

Everything. I have been travelling the world for over 10 years and this villa is my favourite place I have stayed at. The views are stunning, you feel so secluded and at the nature is incredibly calming. The villa is very clean and comfortable. Yunik and Kadek are very welcoming hosts who are helpful and friendly. I hope I can come back soon to this special place.

Just be careful with the floor tiles in the outside area on the balcony - they are slippery when it is wet.

The hosts of this villa are so welcoming and make you feel like family. The villa was stunning with everything you need including a water filter station. The villa was in immaculate condition and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I recommend Madhawa to anyone looking at staying in UBUD. We will be back. Thankyou Yunik and Kadek.

10-15 minute drive into the centre of Ubud but Kadek made it so easy to get dropped off and picked up

The view is amazing. Very friendly owners. Pool is like 1.60m deep, so great for swimming. Close enough to Ubud but still quiet area, only jungle sounds at night.

Madhawa Villa is a true paradise for anyone seeking peace and the beauty of Bali. From the very first moment, it’s clear that the owners, Kadek and Yunik, pour their hearts into this place. Kadek was not only incredibly helpful but also a fantastic driver, always happy to share his knowledge about the area. Meanwhile, Yunik was always ready to answer any questions and assist with anything we needed – thanks to them, we felt completely at home. The most unforgettable moments were the mornings by the pool overlooking the jungle. Watching the sunrise from this spot is something we’ll never forget – pure magic!
