East Street Inn & Suites

Check in was almost flawless. Reception was prepared and signing in was prompt.

The facility was very old. This would have been fine, but then I found pinhead size bugs on the counters and sinks. We stayed, but I hardly slept. In the morning I notified the cleaning woman about the bugs. She was very kind.

It was centrally located. The room was very clean. The staff was friendly.

The walls were thin and I could hear my neighbors talking.

Room smelled badly of cigarette smoke, toilet did not flush (no solids). Upon check out nobody asked about the stay and when I told them about the toilet they said "ok I'll look at it"; did not even try to offer an apology.

Stinky, run down, in close proximity to absolutely nothing.

East Street Inn was great for our overnight. The room was large (we didn't even need the second suite) and it was great having the little kitchenette. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was quiet during the night as well, which was great so we slept well.

Everything was very clean and well maintained, but it all had an old feeling and could do with some touch ups (cracked caulking, rough trim, things like that). For the price, it was great, but just a heads up for fellow travelers. It didn't bother us at all.
