Firefly Lodge - Cozy 4 bedroom cabin minutes to Helen

We had high hopes for our weekend at this cabin, and in many ways, it really delivered. The location is beautiful and peaceful, offering that true “getaway” feeling we were looking for. The cabin itself is incredibly cozy and well-decorated with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home—plush bedding, a well-stocked kitchen, and charming details throughout. We especially loved the outdoor space, with a fire pit and hot tub that made for some great moments under the stars. The owners were kind, responsive, and clearly care about their guests’ experience, which we really appreciated. When we ran into a serious issue with the septic system backing up into the downstairs shower, they were quick to send help and stayed in touch throughout. Unfortunately, the problem persisted all weekend and made the downstairs bathroom unusable, with a smell that lingered throughout the house. It definitely impacted our experience in a big way. We’re grateful for the hospitality and the efforts the owners made, but we do hope future guests won’t encounter the same issue. This place has so much potential, and with proper maintenance, it could be a five-star stay.
