Charming 2 Bed Apartment in the heart of the West End

It was a base that's all.

Unfortunately for the price we paid we expected the flat to be clean and mould free. The oven door was greasy and bowls plates and glasses had to be washed before use. Mould around the edge of the shower and windows. Didn't look like the photos? The TV was on the floor? Also the cold is hot and the hot is cold in the shower for anyone wondering 🤣 We were only left with two hand towels between 4 people. I found a fair few hairs in the bed. There was a major leak under the sink. To the owners credit they offered to get someone out to fix it very quickly! However we opted to just not use the sink as it was the last day and we had things scheduled so we couldn't wait at the accommodation. Our bed was fairly comfy and got 4 pillows between my husband and I.... however my friends bed felt like you were just sleeping on top of a duvet, and they only got two thin pillows between the two of them. Overall we were all quite disappointed with our stay, not worth the price at all.

Perfect location if visiting the West End or the University. Very quiet apartment which was warm and comfortable at a very affordable price.

Little communication from owner to which flat number the property actually was, once got the keys out the safe had to try doors. Toilet base leaked. Coffee table was unusable and bed incredibly uncomfortable with thin duvet.

The location was great, very close to the university and in a safe area. The subway is close, so it is easy to get around the city.

The apartment was filthy. In all my years of travelling, I have never seen such a dirty apartment. I couldn't tell if the sheets were clean or not. They were old and used, as evidenced by the pilling on the sheets. The bathtub was chipped and mouldy. I couldn't tell when it was last disinfected. The kitchen was stained all over, the washing machine was dirty and its detergent drawer was full of slimy mould. The floors were disgusting. They were obviously not swept/vacuumed in a long time, never mind mopped. There were all manners of weird spots and drippings on the floor in every room. Basically, the state of the apartment was well below substandard. I find myself wondering who provides the cleaning, or rather if anyone handles cleaning at all. I would not recommend this place at all, despite its great location. We spent the minimal amount of time there, just for sleeping as we were disgusted to be there for more than necessary and we were unable to afford a new apartment at a moment's notice. -1000/10, it made the whole Glasgow experience awful.

NOTHING!! I was horrified to find this place so different from the description. A puddle of water, cockroaches and layers of dirt are NOT charming. It was not like the description and was so substandard I was not able to stay. I complained to Booking and the landlord, and neither has responded...nor refunded me for the cost. I had to rent another room. Shocking. I was a solid Booking client for years but not anymore.

It was very homely and comfy with lovely natural light.

The toilet basin leaked every night with water on the floor. The broken wardrobe was an eye sore and resting on a wall. There was an opened beer can in fridge and glasses left on the side that weren’t cleaned from beers (white in bottom). All the washing up was left from the cleaner on the draining board when it could have been dried to then put away… I had to put some of this away! Also it wasn’t cleaned well at all my feet were black on the heels the same day I got there from the floor… and places like in corners away from sofa dusty and not given proper tlc for guests. No wifi info sent to me also I had to do it manually… little extra touches like sending wifi info is so easy. Lastly I was told I would have to check in an hour later due to messy previous guests (so longer cleaning time at 12) when my check in wasn’t until 4pm! Then I got told at 3pm it’s all clean and ready to check in 😅 and it wasn’t clean of course!
