20-2 Lisbon Castle view apartment with French terrace

My boyfriend and I went to Lissabon for my boyfriend's birthday and the apartment was great, We felt like at home, the apartment it's really central and the view to the Castle from the balcony was delightful. Abu, our host was really welcoming and friendly, he treated us lovely. The apartment has the perfect size, you have there everything what you need ,everything was clean & the bed was comfortable as well. Definitely it was one of the best accomodations we've been in!

The apartment was exactly as in the photos, very well-finished and clean, and in the kitchen you can find everything you need. It is located in a great position, close to the historic center and easy to get to from the centrale station. The host was super helpful and kind. We really enjoyed this accommodation.

Well equipped kitchen, perfect for longer stay. The living room is amazing, spacious and makes me feel like home. The bed is very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy.

- Typical advantages of an apartment over a hotel room (a separate bedroom, an equipped kitchen with a living room) - A taste of living in a typical Portuguese neighborhood (an old building, a balcony with a view over other rooftops and balconies) - The kitchen had an American kind of coffee machine - The owner was responsive

- Till the very last moment it was unclear if we had to meet with the owner in-person or to follow a self-service step book - When getting there by taxi there were 2 more little dead streets to cross to reach the apartment which were particularly unpleasant to pass at night time a few times - Not sound proof: it was easy to be waken up by someone going to his apartment at 3 AM or just walking inside of his apartment (a general Portuguese old housing problem as we learned later) - It was a bit of an exercise to take our luggage up and down via a very narrow curved staircase - The location was fine but not perfect: it required about 20-30 minutes of walking to the most interesting areas of Lisbon - We had to report a few defects which were fixed promptly - Some elements of the apartment clearly required a renovation (for example, the bedroom door frame, the creaking floor, balcony chairs)
