We stayed due to going go Alton Towers. It's about a 40 minute drive. 2 double bedrooms are a plus. The stay was fine for what it was for as we weren't in the property much, just on the evenings.

I'm not sure how suitable this property is for young children. The stairs to the bedrooms are extremely steep and as you exit the bedrooms the stairs are right outside. Also my biggest issue was that due to the keypad entry system the front door does not lock from the inside and with an autistic 7 year old this caused a lot of anxiety about him escaping. The utensils in the kitchen were not great, no sharp knives to cut food and only 1 fork between 3 of us. The pictures of the property definitely make it out to be nicer than it is. It seemed a little run down compared. You're in a very tight street and the neighbours are quite loud, they actually were outside the living room window for a while and so privacy seemed lacking.

This stay was unfortunately a significant disappointment. The property had several issues that negatively impacted our comfort and enjoyment. Unpleasant Conditions and Lack of Amenities The kitchen was infested with ants, which was unhygienic and unsettling. We also noticed several leaking pipes, some of which were dangerously hot. Despite the cold nights, the radiators provided no heating, making our stay uncomfortable. The induction hob was incredibly slow, making cooking a frustrating experience, and the pans and utensils provided were not clean. The entire property had an unpleasant smell, and the living area was cluttered, with excessive items on and between the sofa. Although a hairdryer was listed as an amenity, none was provided, and there were no proper toiletries like body wash. Poor Communication Communication with the property owner was practically non-existent. After receiving initial access instructions, all subsequent queries went unanswered, which was incredibly frustrating when trying to address these issues. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend this property.

The house was clean and tidy, excellent location to the water park we were visiting.

Recommend putting a chain on the front door - Whilst the front door has a code to get in - Anyone who knows that code could enter the property - May be beneficial to have a chain so that people feel secure when sleeping.
