The Beautiful Bobbin - Premium Cottage with views, local walks, wood burner & pubs

We thought the towels needed replacing as these were rather old and didnt feel fresh . Also felt the rugs and cushions on the sofas could do with a clean or change . Floors needed a better clean too

The cottage was nice and cosy

The fact it was double booked and we had to have an awkward encounter with another family on the doorstep... luckily this was resolved between us amicably. Then the next day the owner let herself in while we were in upstairs asking if we were OK? and asked if we had posted a key through her letter box? Even though we had no idea where she lived. We were on edge for the rest of our stay. Apparently there should have been 2 keys in the box so someone had the other key while we were staying there. A simple phone call from the owner or text would have resolved the issue rather than walking into the property and an apology for the double booking fiasco would have been nice

This is a delightful cottage in a lovely town with great pubs and amazing countryside for walking. It has everything we needed.

the lounge could have been cleaner. There was fluff and s bit of dirt on the legs of the furniture.

A picture perfect cottage in the lovely village of Tideswell. Jenni the owner was fantastic, sending all the details we needed and was very helpful when I forgot a bag and had to return to pick it up! The cottage is very comfy and clean with all the bits and bobs you need for a stay, parking is right outside and everything is just a few minutes walk from the cottage. Tideswell has a Co-op, greengrocers, Tideswell Lounge cafe, bakery, chip shop, pubs, Italian restaurant, Merchants Yard restaurant and a superb second hand bookshop. We had a very comfy stay and would definitely recommend and book Bobbin Cottage again.

Everything was absolutely excellent.

the cottage was very attractive, in a good location with nice view. It was light and very well appointed. It was quiet and we appreciated having a reserved parking space.

Lighting in living room made it very hard to read in the evening. The shower tray took an age to drain away and it made it impossible for 2 people to shower one after the other. The water almost came over the top of the tray every time the shower was used and so the floor was in danger of flooding. I did leave a note to report this as the matter needed investigating.
