Casa Maria - Dimora di Charme

Location is in a small village just outside of Montalcino. Our hosts provided us with restaurant & itinerary suggestions which were very helpful. They were readily available by text to answer any & all questions. We were pleased with the property features & the beautiful, quiet area.

Casa Maria is described as a mansion, and wow—this place is gorgeous. It features three full private bedrooms, each with its own dedicated bathroom. The property is exceptional, beautifully renovated to perfection while still retaining its old-world charm. Truly stunning and an UNBELIEVABLE/AMAZING value.

The only surprise I encountered was that the address is incorrectly listed on Booking.com. This place is actually in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, not downtown Montalcino. While it wasn’t a major issue, it did throw off my planning and arrival time. Booking.com may update the location before you read this, but if not, make sure you know exactly where you’re headed. The location is just 12 minutes from Montalcino and has two restaurants within walking distance. One of them, Vineria Aperta Montalcino, served the most amazing salumi I’ve ever had, along with a breathtaking selection of over 1,500 wine labels, most of which are Brunellos.

Extremely clean Very cozy and easy to park. Very big and spacious.

It is says it is located in Montalcino but in fact is located 10km away and it is not a big deal. In fact is very quiet. I loved everything but it could have less decoration. But also this is not a problem just my personal opinion.

3 large bedrooms, each with their own ensuite. It was a nice reset for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). A beautiful small village only 8 km away from Montalcino.

It felt like home. House is beautifully decorated and clean / new. A modern touch in a characteristic house with 3 bathroom and good balance of privacy and common area. The kitchen was well equipped.

A tip would be to include a list with nearby recommended restaurants / cafes.

The property is beautiful and the host is very nice and always there for any questions you may have. The house is very spacious and the view from the garden is really nice. I recommend this place. :)
