Silver Sands Resort - Koh Tao

One thing I’d highlight is the staff, they were very sweet attentive and trying to help figure out moving rooms for me. Also the location is very central so you have every at your door step, but that does come at a huge price.

I stayed for 4 night, and those were the most sleepless nights of my life. I gotta admit and own the fact, that I booked very late (when most of Koh Tao was booked out) and I didn’t think what some of the other reviews for this place were saying was this bad. First night I stayed in the room in the main building just facing directly the street and the obnoxious bar/club across the street. Honestly, the level of noise was on unhealthy level, my room was shaking from the bass, not even noise cancelation headphones did it. In the morning I asked to be moved to a different and the staff attentively moved me a couple rooms further in the main building. I actually went out that night, so cannot assess that room properly from the noise perspective. But then I had to move to a bungalow (everything else was booked out) and again the staff did everything they could to get me a bunglow as far from the beach (there is another bar that blasts until 1am 😅). However, the path between the bungalows is used by everyone going to the beach for the party so crowds of ppl are passing through often drunk and load, plus music is still very loud (cannot imagine being the first bungalow next to the beach bar) and on top of everything the other bungalow guests were party animals yelling and being super loud until very late when the bar music was finally over. Multiple drunken people were trying to get into my room or got on my porch at night, which was a bit scary at 3am guys from the next door decided to play around my bungalow, running around it, yelling and laughing, I had to come out and tell them to shut up, which luckily helped. Overall, if you’re a young party animal, this could be a great place for you to hangout with other party kids, at great location by the beach, and on budget. But for me, this was a nightmare and made my overall experience at Koh Tao quite negative.

We had a nice stay as having a baby it is nice to be on Sairee beach. So close to the see and to all places here.

Because of the bar street there will be some noise in the evening. We knew already and asked for the most quiet room.

Der Zimmer ist groß, die Lage ist top und das Warmwasser funktioniert einwandfrei.

Der Zimmer wird nicht gereinigt und man bekommt kein tägliches Trinkwasser, kein Shampoo aber nur winziges Seife und kein Regal oder Schränke.

5 min walk from the beach which was great, right in the centre of the main bit, regular refreshing of toilet roll/towels, comfortable bed

Sometimes a bit loud but expected when in the centre
