Staybridge Suites - Southgate - Detroit Area by IHG

The hotel was in a good location and our room was very clean. but the elevator floors needed to be cleaned and my husband and I avoided the complimentary breakfast because there was a fruit fly infestation. Clearly it didn't bother the other people staying, but we definitely had no desire to eat food in an area where you chance fruit flies getting into your food and drink. There is a very simple and safe fix for fruit flies. You just need apple cider vinegar and a little bit of dawn.

The amount of fruit flies in the food and beverage area was really disgusting. I am not sure how the people working there didn't feel a need to address the issue. There is a very safe and simple fix to a fruit fly infestation. You just need a small container with apple cider vinegar and a little bit of dawn dish soap.

It was right off the highway and easy to get to.

The bathrooms were a bit small not enough room to turn around but not terrible.

It was very clean and it was very welcoming, and I like the area. It was close to the restaurants in the malls.
