LIGHTHOUSE 249 DDP Dongdaemun

Amazing location and the host was very helpful and prompt in communication.

The bathroom constantly smelled like there was drain water stuck.

The overall space was very comfortable, and the interior design was beautiful and tasteful. Every detail was well taken care of, and you could really feel the thoughtfulness behind it. A truly pleasant and cozy stay!

The only downside is that there’s no elevator, but everything else was great.

Great deco and quiet neighborhood. Metro is near by, so transportation was quiet easy. Communication was easy, Rachel and Rio provided clear instructions. Be aware that all the pictures are mixed up. We were 4 and got the 101 accommodation with 2 double beds in a same room. There wasn’t a lot of space in the apartment, we could open our suitcases at the same time. Bathroom is Korean (shower + toilet, so toilet is wet). 101 was almost in a basement so not very bright.

We stayed at Lighthouse 249 room 101, with 2 kids age 2 and 8 years old. The bed was 2 queen beds side to side which our kids absolutely loved. When my 2 year old was napping my older child had his own space to watch iPad which was really loved. There is a little restaurant about 7m away, we ate there 3 times. It’s a little hole in the wall ran by 2 grandmas, they served delicious soups that was only 8,000won. Convenient, inexpensive and delicious. The neighborhood was great for little kids. It’s not as busy as Myeungdon but had plenty of things to do with little kids. We went to the DDP and both kids loved running around and exploring the space, we also walked to the toy market several times and bought some Korean toys. There is also a bus right in front of the home that takes you to deer park. The only con I would say is the shower room is on the same room as the toilet. It’s in the middle of Seoul so it’s understandable that space is limited. But overall for the price, location and cleanliness I would recommend this property. My 8 year old asked if we could stay here again when we come back which is always a good sign!

Lovely property in a great part of Seoul. The aesthetic of the property is nice and overall it’s really clean.

1. super convenient location close to Exit 4 of dongdaemun station, DDP and the nearby shopping district. 2. SUPER SUPER clean. The hosts definitely take hygiene seriously. Cleaner than any hotel you can imagine. 3. amenities are new and work very well from taps, showers to washer and dryer 4. hosts are incredibly helpful and communicative. I had some questions about where to store my luggage at the subway station and the hosts contacted the customer service of the locker company on my behalf. They were also very proactive in contacting me before, during and after my stay to ensure I had a good experience

The only downside - it's a walk up apartment with stairs so for guests with mobility issues or lots of heavy luggage, it's not the most convenient
