Area was perfect for city centre visit.

Too much noise from people walking by.

A good, basic b&b. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad either. Great location, easy to walk to from train station and also to centre, university, etc.

It made me realise that for the same price I’d rather just be in a hotel.

Great position

Bed was uncomfortable. The shower was slippy and needed a non slip mat. The drain in the,shower cubicle smelled bad

We have visited and stayed in York a dozen times and in terms of price and location you could not ask for better. The Snug is 12 mins walk from York Station and 3 minutes to the river bridge you cross for the heart of York City.

Nothing we could really complain about. The bed is up against a wall, so for one side, you climb on it from the bottom but this is common for many small accommodation.

The room was surprisingly spacious and was very light and airy. The kitchenette was well equipped (Kettle, toaster, microwave, crockery, cutlery, tea/coffee/sugar/salt/pepper, washing up sponge and tea towel etc.). Shower pressure and temperature was great, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were included too. We found the bed comfortable, the whole studio was very clean and the host was very attentive too. We had a lovely stay, thank you.

Upstairs footsteps at night were a little loud due to lack of carpets, but it wasn't really that bad and we stayed during the York races, so imagine there was more evening activity than normal.
