Glam Habitat - SHA Extra Plus

The staff was exceedingly nice and supportive. The location is great, close to the beach (missing some pavement to safely walk around but that’s just Phuket). We got a noisy street view room first and asked booking if that’s usual not to mention in the room‘s description, the next day the staff immediately gave us a new room. They are cleaning the whole day and doing their best to keep the place up. A huge quite new unused kitchen, might be a bit unnecessary, up to what you need.

The rooms on the street side should have a description that they are noisy also should cost less because it’s extreme. It’s a 24/7 loud two lane street on both sides with thin walls and windows and the pool is useless as well as you have to listen to that sound all the time. This is just expectation handling of guests, we believe that everyone would be disappointed not knowing you have to listen to cars and motorcycle ambiente all the time. The other side‘s rooms are good, the interior is not even old but quite worn out. The bathroom smells a bit, nothing to do with the staff, they are cleaning all the time, it’s the sanitary needs a renewal. It’s nothing for romantic or quiet holidays. There are a lot of families with kids, so this place is family friendly and we were looking for something different. The pool side is missing some more places to chill. The room‘s pool is unfortunately in the shades, the water is super cold and some beach lounger are missing on the balcony to chill. The breakfast had everything, but there were too many kids running around all the time and messing up. Again, for families it might be a perfect place.

The staff are extremely friendly and help where they can. But they know whatever they do to fix, is a band aid and rarely works. First room was so bad, we had to change rooms. Another family who also stayed at Glam also had to change rooms. But even after they changed rooms, the staff turned over their old room and put new guests in that day.

Glam Habitat needs to undertake a full maintenance of all rooms. Toilets don't flush. Bathroom drains smell, causing entire apartment to smell. Hot water is temperamental. Air conditioning units leak. Light switches leak water. Pillows are old and have lost all density. Couches are old and saggy.

It is a close walk to the beach.

I booked the Glam due to the reviews but was shocked upon arrival. We left after one full day of a 4 night stay despite no refund! The Glam Habitat had very little to no value for the room rate they charge. I’m an experienced traveler of many years and have been in Asia for the past 7 weeks in many hotels. This is BY FAR the worst one I’ve ever stayed! First off, they require a CASH deposit upon checking in….no advance notice, no credit cards, no exceptions! It is located on an extremely busy, multi-lane road leading to an amusement park. The noise of the cars, motorcycles, and sirens is deafening and the walls of the hotel do not block it making it difficult to sleep in the very uncomfortable and cheap bed they have in the room. The entire property is dirty from ceiling to floor everywhere. The breakfast buffet was very poor quality and really suspect given the lack of clean serving dishes, disgustingly dirty coffee maker, puddles of liquid left on the floor, greasy smudges on glass walls/doors, etc. The breakfast staff do not seem happy to assist guests. The shuttle driver is extremely rude. Hallways are completely lined with solid black curtains giving the feel of a Halloween haunted house or worse. The room was spacious but very dated decor and definitely not cleaned properly. The water pressure and temperature were inadequate. There is a major construction site to one side of the property and a facility with a loud speaker directly behind. Moreover, the pool directly between the two buildings adds to the chaos when kids start to get loud and sound bouncing into every room. If you like to watch news while abroad, forget it at the Glam….no TV channels at all. You can only connect to Netflix. This was definitely a HUGE waste of money….DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

One room in the 2 bedroom accomodation is quite small and dark.

Czyste pokoje, miła obsługa. Blisko plaża i targ nocny.

Bardzo głośna i ruchliwa okolica, całą noc hałas. Pokoje zawierały zbyt dużo gadżetów inteligentnego domu, zupełnie zbędne.
