VUEL SEA VIEW HOUSE -10 Minutes from the Airport Fiumicino

We did not like anything about this place. We left after 8 minutes because it was so disgusting and dirty. The pictures in this listing are purposely filtered and photoshopped so you can't see as well what's going on. Also it smells, hard to tell if they're trying to cover up smoking or what, but not other place we stayed at in Rome smelled as bad as this.

Let me start by saying that there was nothing we DID like - it was so bad we left after 8 minutes and booked a hotel in the outskirts of Rome. In fact we got a suite for not much more than the price of this nonsense. I have attached pictures of the garbage out front, the aging building, what appears to be mold on the wall in the apartment, hairs on the floor entering the bathroom, and the trim peeling off a door in the hall. If you are from the US the best way to describe it is that this is a 2 star motel 6 at best. We got itchy just walking into this apartment. We booked this based on reviews, and honestly I cannot understand what the majority of the people are saying about this place (unless a big percentage of the reviews are fake). My expectations of a property are that it is as clean as a proper hotel would be. The floors are swept and mopped, the counters are clean, the lines are fresh, and it smells clean (not like smoke, sweat, or whatever). I am unhappy with Booking.com for allowing random people to list whatever personal property on the site, I would expect that from Airbnb (since that's what they do) but not on this platform. I will never use them again and stick to Expedia from now on. Also, let me say that once we booked new lodging and got checked in I called Booking.com for a refund and they were not helpful at all. At first they tried to call the listing owner, and they would not respond at all to multiple phone calls. The "investigation" was escalated, but the next day it was stated "they could not reach a resolution with the listing owner". I did not receive any refund at all, and in the end only got a $42 credit for a future booking (which I will never redeem). Booking.com customer service did not give 2 craps about the filthiness of the place at all and basically took nothing I told them into account.

The view was beautiful, the apartment clean and inviting, and the trip to the airport only ten minutes.

The appartment was beautiful and spacious and we wished that we could stay longer! Everything was super clean and comfortable for our family of 4. We had a great choice of restaurants within walking distance. Our host arranged a taxi to pick us up in the morning. It was a very short drive to the airport which made the departure seamless. Definitely recommend staying here! Thank you for having us!
