Nagarik Commune, Baner - Pune

The aesthetics of the place is really very good 😊 Loved it ❤️. They have a beautiful mirror and a table chair. The washroom is also very clean and tidy. Have a water filter available for drinking.

Nagarik Commune is a gem. It's beautiful; one can see that a lot of care, thought, and warmth has gone into curating this space. There is a small bookshelf with a lovely selection of books in the common area/living room, which also features super comfortable couches. The space allows for conversation and discussions to flow, if there are people. The room itself is also quite nice. It's spacious, has all the things one may need for a stay (hangers, towels, fresh linen), and abundant storage. I particularly loved the small space next to the window, which would allow one to sit, laze around, and read. The location is a plus too. You have access to a few ATMs, a pharmacy, and several restaurants. Plus, it's conveniently located from the airport and the railway station, with neither being too far. Sameer is a great host. The day I checked in, neither of my debit cards worked. But he was extremely gracious about it. Gestures like this are quite difficult to come by, and I think that attitude of kindness and generosity extends towards all aspects of Nagarik Commune. It's truly an endearing social space, making one feel compelled to return.

The rooms and outdoor ambiance is incredibly inviting—with its bohemian charm, greenery-filled corners, and artistic decor that makes you feel like you're stepping into a creative oasis. The open-air seating and warm lighting create the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening, whether you’re catching up with friends or spending quality time alone. One of the standout aspects of Nagarik Commune is its community-focused vibe. It feels like a space where creative minds can meet and exchange ideas. The staff (Himanshu & Aisha) are warm, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a memorable experience. Highly unprofessional behaviour from the host. I had booked two rooms one month before my travel- one from Monday to Saturday and another one from Sunday and I receive a call from the host on Friday night that another guest who was occupying the room I booked, wanted an extension. I did not have any alternatives for booking and did not have any friends in Pune for the next week. Despite having a confirmed booking, preference was given to this guest who apparently had lot of luggage. I was told things will be sorted.I called back the host again on Friday for confirmation and he did not pick the call. While checking out on Saturday, the caretaker also did not have any information from the host and so it meant that my booking was unaltered. I kept my baggage there and left. I received a whatsapp message on Sunday from the host at around 5 am saying that my booking will be cancelled. At this point I was not even in Pune. Such unprofessional behaviour by the host despite knowing I was a solo traveler. No courtesy of even calling to tell the booking is cancelled. If the host isn't able to honour the bookings, then the host should be accepting any bookings. If any problem, he should atleast have informed 3-4 day prior so that I can make arrangements accordingly . Hard to trust the host anymore. Very disappointed at this unprofessional behaviour.

The property was well maintained. The caretaker was super nice and always present, willing to help. The host is very considerate and kind. The room was so pretty and comfortable. Almost everything is accessible. Bed: 10/10 Room: 10/10 Bathroom: 9.5/10 Privacy: 10/10 Accessories: 10/10
