Cool and quiet place. Location - one minute and you are in the center of the capital.

Very nice apartment, clear and cosy. Very good place, close to river, shops and cafes.

Location was perfect. Although we exchanged only through messages, the host was very helpfull and guided us very well. All instructiions he provided were accurate.

Building and apartment were very olld. I don't know why but windows were taped which blocks the only ventilation and getting fresh air posibility. The fridge was there but not able to cool even small bottle of water. Shower wasn"t confortable. Hot water wasn't enough for two to take a shower in a row. There was no place to hang the towels next to the shower. Renovation is definitely required. There is no cheap parking option nearby.

I'm surprised that Booking doesn't check these offers! They are indecent! The entrance to the building is terrible... not even after a war were the buildings so well preserved! The rooms rented were in such poor condition that I've never seen them before... it's a shame to pass off a piece of junk as excellent!

The landlord/innkeeper – who we never met, was unhelpful, smarmy, and eventually hostile. (we were warned about this person by a friendly neighbor.) The toilet had a sewage macerator, and pump, that was leaking slightly at our arrival. The bathroom smelled of feces. I reported this to the innkeeper, they responded in a hostile tone, 'if you don't like the smell of your own feces, flush the toilet.' The leak grew worse, and having no help from the owner, I attempted to push the pipe back into the macerator myself. It only got worse. Needless to say, this was a very unpleasant experience. Fortunately, we were due to check out the next day. As well, there were spiderwebs under the bed, and my son got a spider bite on his hand. When I reported this to the owner, he denied the existence of the spiderwebs (I have photographs), and then lied, saying spiders don't bite. After our departure, the owner accused us of breaking the toilet, and of lighting fireworks in the inside of the apartment; a patient falsehood. The owner threatened to phone the police- that would have been fine with me, since we did nothing wrong. He went on to say that we had caused hundreds of dollars of damage. We stayed at several other hotels and beautiful hotel spas in the Budapest area. This is our last stay, and fairly ruined our holiday.

Only the location made this booking even slightly bearable.

The onboarding experience was horrible and we were greeted with another couple not able to go in. Soon after 2 more couples joined with the same problem. We tried calling the host but he repeated like a broken record the same sentence in very bad English, and didn't let us say or ask anything, he was just speaking in circles. Eventually I told him to "please shut up and listen" and he told me "you are threatening me and swearing, you are not entering, I'm recording this call and calling the police" - he repeated that several times telling us he wasn't going to let us in and that he will call the police. Eventually I called the police, made them talk to him via connected speakerphone (since the police is not allowed to call him directly) and he actually put the phone down on them as well lol. Eventually I found the code buried in one email thread which contained almost 10 95% same messages and looked as spam and went in, but I've lost 2hours. 1 couple from the beginning also found a way in, and the other 2 gave up, he was also screaming at them over the phone as well. So he was refusing entrance for his non-refundable apartment. Horrible Experience! The beds were awfully uncomfortable and pillows were extremely bad as well. The bathroom was at least 5 degrees less and super cold. Also felt super unsafe to leave my laptop in since it's actually a room with a super old lock and not a modern lock, inside an apartment that had 2 other rooms.. Location is great, but as a host and as the onboarding experience, this is deserving a -100. The only good thing was location. It wasn't even that cheap compared to other bookings available. -100/ 10 DO NOT RECCOMEND.

They were very active on Booking.com chat, SMS and Phone. All the instructions were very clear.
