Cosy one bed flat - Colnbrook

Small but there is enough space for two. You have private access via side gate to rear of property. Convenient location to Heathrow, clean and tidy, comfortable double bed, towels provided, bedding in sofa bed, paved garden with washing lines, easy and free parking on the street close to property (you can park on drive but another car is sometimes parked there), good wifi, smart tv has YouTube, Netflix etc. Kitchen is small but well equipped with electric oven, induction hub, microwave, toaster, kettle, good size fridge/freezer and small air fryer (which is handy!). There is also an 8kg washing machine which we did not use. Hosts seem thoughtful and accommodating in communications. For groceries, we used Tesco Express which is 5 mins away (surprisingly well stocked) and Waitrose which is 20 mins away in Egham. There is also a BP garage with M&S Food which is 5 min walk away but we did not use that.

The apartment is ground floor level end of terrace so you have people above you and to one side of you. The walls and ceilings are thin so you can hear people above moving around and talking when home and also in the property next door. It was a regular occurrence late at night unfortunately (past midnight was not uncommon). One evening we could hear the washing machine next door going from 10pm and it sounded like it was in the apartment. This was not good for my son, being an athlete preparing to compete the following day and needing good sleep! The final night we had happy birthday song blaring out from nearby on repeat for about an hour and this went onto 9.45pm when I decided to actually leave the property one night early. I actually checked into the nearby Holiday Inn to get some peace and quiet - it was lovely in comparison. I would not stay at this apartment again and this is the main reason why. Sofa bed is not comfortable unfortunately. I used the cushions as make-shift mattress and still did not sleep well. A small electric boiler serves the apartment and this only stores 10L of hot water. Shower is ok but the hot water runs out quickly. My wife would not have time to wash her hair! A next door neighbour regularly smokes out of the window to the rear of the property. When it is warm (which it was when we stayed) and you want the door/window’s open for ventilation, you can expect a strong smell of cigarette smoke to come into the property at least every hour.

Kostenfreier Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Alles Ebenerdig. Sehr kurzer Weg ins Haus. Kann man buchen wenn man nicht zu viel erwartet.

Etwas klein aber alles da was man braucht. Garten mit Wäscheleinen. Im zwar kleine Wohnzimmer wäre trotzdem ein kleiner Esstisch mit zwei Sesseln wünschenswert und dafür ein kleinerer Couchtisch. Könnte noch ein bisschen sauberer sein.

Great location for visiting Windsor and Legoland. Lovely flat with all the mod cons you could need. Host was good with communication.

Good price for sufficient quality. Good value overall. Good rental concept. Great that such rental offer exists in Windsor where price can quickly go through the roof, so that's a thank you to the host

Well, it is small, really small. But it is correctly described . And so managed my expectations correctly. All very well. Overall strong 9,5 points

The property is well located and easy to find. Amenities were very close to access and the flat is comfortable. It's like home to home and very close to Heathrow airport if you are catching a flight. A*****
