I recently rented this property and was dissatisfied with its condition and amenities. The check-in time was stated as 4:00 PM, but when I arrived at 4:45 PM, they were still changing the sheets on the bed and preparing the house. Comically, the day before we were ready to leave, I received an email stating that check-out time was at 11:00 AM and that I would be charged $50 for every half hour I stayed past that time. I wonder if I could get my $50 back for the 45 minutes I had to wait to get into the house. Additionally, the kitchen was inadequately equipped, lacking essential items such as a pan for oven cooking, sufficient glassware, and silverware. Several household supplies were also missing. We were a family of five and there was only one and a half rolls of toilet paper for five days. Furthermore, the property was not well-maintained. There was a leak above the fireplace, and we had to clean up the water to make sure that the TV did not get damaged. The smoke alarm malfunctioned repeatedly, necessitating its disconnection. I attempted to communicate these issues to the property owner via message, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. Lastly, the floors were uneven, causing a tripping hazard, and the beds were uncomfortable. While the location of the property was pleasant, the overall condition and lack of essential amenities were unacceptable. I hope that these issues will be promptly addressed to ensure a better experience for future guests.
