Unique 3BR Villa with Pool 5 minute walk to the Pererenan beach

There was nothing not to like

The villa it self is nice with a good pool and the rooms are also nice.

We booked the day before and got a confirmation but the staff didn’t know we were coming when we arrived at the agreed check in time so we had to argue a bit until we where let in. The location is close to the beach and cafes and so on but there is a big issue, the gym next door iincludes a rooftop gym where they play music from 6am-10pm and have classes from early morning with instructors literally screaming their lungs out and playing techno music really loud. At times we couldn’t have a normal conversation with our kids due to this. While staying at the villa we also saw rats crawling the roof of the villa hiding on top of the roof above the kitchen. When we told the staff they just said “oh yes it’s mice”. I know the difference between a rat and a mouse..

The villa is absolutely beautiful and even better than the photos. The beds are all super comfortable, pool is perfect and the kitchen very useable. Staff at the villa were absolutely wonderful and kept the place very clean and tidy. We really couldn't have asked for more in terms of the villa itself and very much appreciated the lovely staff. The kids loved jumping into the pool and loved the kids' room, which has toys, plus books, games, etc. An absolutely gorgeous villa.

I have nothing negative to say about the villa, but some external factors reduced our enjoyment of the villa somewhat. The main issue was nearby construction (as in just a few metres away). On our first morning we had smoke and fumes pouring directly into the villa and on multiple occasions construction took place at night, sometimes continuing until after midnight. The hammering and use of power tools well into the night was not exactly what I was expecting. Again, nothing to blame on the owners, it's just the cost of development in Bali! Hopefully, the construction is completed quickly! Edit: as a response to the owner's response below, the location itself is good. He's absolutely right - it's a trendy neighbourhood, close to the beach, etc. The reason I gave the location an 8, as the owner knows, is not because of a small truck passing by, but because of the construction taking place just metres away and its effect on our enjoyment of the villa. I contacted the owner on the first morning and informed him of the petrol fumes and smoke filling the villa, from the construction site across the laneway. The noise from the late night construction also bothered us. That said, for the next person booking, the construction may have finished already. I have no doubt that you'll then have full enjoyment of the property.

Ground floor bedroom and bathroom really nice. Good pool. Great location with the famous "Wrong" gym next door and many good restaurants, also close to the beach.
