Panteão Studio in Alfama - with AC

Positive: -The beds were clean and comfortable -There were coat hooks and a shoe rack

Negatives: -The floor in the room was sandy/dusty from the start -The kitchen was barely usable and not equipped. There was only one pot that worked. It was impossible to cook properly. A frying pan was brought to us, but sadly it didn't work on the induction stove. -Not enough towels and toilet paper provided. -The sink drained very slowly -Communication from the host was poor toward the end

Bon emplacement Petite cuisine sympa

Le 1er jour de notre arrivée, nous avons eu une fuite d'eau dans la salle bain. Nous n'avons pas de serpillière donc lors de la douche ou d'un lavage de main, l'eau fuitait des tiroirs de la salle de bain. Nous avons dû essuyer le sol avec des serviettes propres. Le sol était trempé. Le lendemain matin, un technicien a réparé la fuite et a essuyé toute l'eau par terre. Nous avions du coup des serviettes en moins, nous avons demandé si nous pouvions avoir 1 ou 2 serviettes en plus, nous n'en avons pas eu. Suite a la réparation de la fuite, il y avait une odeur d'égout dans la salle de bain, c'était très désagréable... nous étions obligé de fermer la porte de la salle de bain pour ne pas sentir cette odeur dans la chambre. La télé également ne fonctionnait pas (elle s'allumait mais rien ne se passait) Nous n'avions pas assez de papier toilette. Sur une taie d'oreiller, une petite tâche rouge apparaissait.

Authentisches Alfama feeling.

Im Großen und Ganzen ist die Unterkunft ganz ok wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche hat. Die Treppe ins Zimmer ist anspruchsvoll.

L’ingresso molto ripido e scomodo. L’odore da fogna (abbiamo sempre tenuto la finestra del bagno aperta notte e giorno). I cuscini del letto non erano dei cuscini per dormire. Non c’erano le cialde del caffè nonostante ci fosse la macchinetta. Le maniglie del bagno erano tutte arrugginite compreso il porta asciugamani (che non abbiamo usato). Tv non funzionante. Zero insonorizzazione con l’ingresso in comune (sembrava ogni volta ci entrasse qualcuno in stanza. È un mini non un appartamento come sembra in foto.

Comfortable small place in a great location. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating.

The TV did not seem to work.

With such a discomfort, it is hard to find any advantages of this place, maybe only that there was no much noise on the street and it was close to the Santa Apolonia station..

The quality and condition of the place are unacceptable. No gravitation and no mechanical ventilation (probably no exhaust pipe to guide the gases out of the sewerage over the roof) in the place caused constant stench and stuffiness and made our stay uncomfortable. The sewerage stench propagates itself from the crampy bathroom to the adjacent sleeping area. The place seems adapted in an amateurish way and does not respect safety requirements. The place has no ventilation so a window must be opened which attracts insects; is infested by small flies (Psychodidae family) typical of dirty humid places, drains and sewerages; - has functional/construction faults: a step up in the bathroom is invisible and unmarked and may cause foot injuries; bathroom door opens to the inside forcing you to move backwards in order to exit which gives an extra opportunity to hurt your heal or fall; - must be accessed through a narrow staircase devoid of rail at the first steps, with the door which opens to a step and gets stuck, eventually a steep and shallows steps taking a dexterity of a tightrope walker to enter/leave (with or without luggage); - is provided with a sliding door made of plywood and an amateurish lock (like in public toilets of Lisbon) which does not damp noise or protect against inbreak; - the foldable table is inclined causing objects to roll down onto the floor; two chairs set by it are untidy - dirty bed cover, seedy cushions, dusty bed frame; substandard shabby furniture, poor quality fittings; all uninviting, seedy, poorly washed bedding; no blanket etc. leave much to desire and is not up to standards of rental apartments

The studio is located near the National Pantheon, it has a large bed and AC. The facilities were good, the access stairs are a bit difficult for the people with low mobility.

The bathroom had a bit of a smell, probably coming from the sewing pipes or the floor drain.
