The Brookside Motel Keystone Near Mt Rushmore

It felt like home

Staff was very nice.

It was old and dated and dirty…it was a dump .

There was a big hole in the floor by the shower that I was concerned that a spider or mouse or rat could come out of

The staff was excellent and friendly

Friendly staff, large room, deck and chair in front of room, breakfast provided.

Proximity to the things we wanted to see

The towels were very basic and some were marked although they did give us better ones when we asked but these did not look clean either they had grey marks on them. Also the base of the bed had metal sides which was noisy when you kicked it never seen that before.

Room had a small back porch that looked out over a sream

Breakfast was a few small muffins and coffee. Should have been listed as a continental breakfast.

Very clean.

Some very noisy young girls were constantly running up and down the balcony and sidewalks around the hotel for several hours. I think they might live at the facility.

Staff couple were very nice and accommodating

Horrible dirty stained and thin bath and hand towels, very dirty, sheets looked dirty and stained. Could hear noises in other rooms, shower water was not hot- just warm and did not stay warm for more than a 10 min shower. Breakfast pretty disappointing. The only thing good about this hotel was the location
