Cosy 4 bedroom holiday let Stevenage 22mins from London on the train

It was clean and warm, comfy beds. Adequate furniture for four.

Kitchen full of items drying on airer. Washing machine crammed with items. Dishwasher not very efficient indicating it needed salt and rinse aid which was not available. The microwave was full of cooked chicken going mouldy. Not enough cutlery or mugs for 4 people, i.e. 3 teaspoons. Not enough oven/microwave dishes.

Very clean and spacious

We couldn’t get any of the TVs to work. We tried to ring the contact number but it went to voicemail. Luckily we weren’t in the house for a lot of the time so we managed without them. It may be more of an issue to others so perhaps some clear instructions left in the house may help others. Everything else was fine and the house was well equipped with all that we needed.

It was absolutely lovely. The bed was really comfortable, facilities top notch. Design of property lovely too. Would definitely stay again if we visit family in the area. We only stayed the night but I'd love to have stayed longer.

Great facilities and very clean. Good to have two bathrooms with excellent showers and products

Parking was a little restricted for two large cars as house was on typical modern housing estate where developers /planners haven’t really allowed enough space for the number of cars occupants have in each property

There were plenty of towels, hairdryers and loo rolls and the kitchen was magnificently appointed with all mod cons. There were products in the bathrooms which was very handy although we brought our own. It was a lovely touch. There was tea bags, instant coffee, soap powder and washing tabs. There’s also a Bosch coffee maker but you’ll need capsules

NB -not a complaint There needs to be a mirror in all the bedrooms - we booked for a wedding and it was chaotic trying to share 2 mirrors for makeup and hair (one was in the room on the ground floor) there was a mirror in the bathroom but we couldn’t dry our hair in there. Each room has a combo locking mechanism which I didn’t like. The doors need to have additional handles because the doors don’t close unless you use the locking mechanisms, which I wasn’t comfortable using. (That’s just me) We had our window open and the door banged all night, had to put my bag in front of it to stop it - These comments aren’t criticisms per se, more observations that would really enhance the experience. Advice for future guests : If you arrive on a Sunday after 4, mostly everywhere is closed. There’s a small Tesco 4 minute drive but it’s expensive, buy your provisions before going to the property

Sheets and towels left to dry in the kitchen on the maiden. Extra pillows needed on beds.
