HIGH TREES BYRE - Two bed Cottage with Log Burner & Incredible Views

Lovely cottage, wasn't hard to find and it was so nicely decorated with everything we needed in

Lots of character, beds really comfy, very peaceful location

The view was lovely but quite restricted due to bushes/trees. If this could be improved it would really make the property exceptional.

Everything about the location and the standard of the holiday was perfect

There was no real room for improvement . Excellent

Very well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and three bathrooms - ideal for us.

Nothing - even the weather was superb.

We stayed during Christmas 2025, and the property was lovely. It is cosy, tucked away, but with easy access to the main supermarkets in a 10-15 minute drive. The kitchen will benefit slightly more from utilities, but I think this is up to personal preference.

The sweetest place! We loved our stay here so much, it was super peaceful and we loved watching the sheep hang out! The house is super warm and inviting, and had everything we could possibly have needed

We had such a peaceful stay at the cottage—just the gentle sound of the weather outside made it feel like a true retreat. It was lovely and cosy throughout, with a charming kitchen and a beautiful step down into the lounge that added a touch of character. The lounge was especially inviting when the fire was lit, though we did find it tricky to buy logs locally—definitely worth bringing some from home. The bed was incredibly comfy and cosy, perfect for restful nights. While the bathroom heating wasn’t the strongest, it didn’t bother us during our stay—though it might be worth noting for colder months. We enjoyed walks around Ennerdale Lake and Whinlatter Forest, both stunning and easily accessible. We also appreciated the thick curtains in the bedroom and lounge, and the stylish window blinds in the lounge added a lovely finish. Thank you for a truly relaxing and memorable stay!
