Baan Krating Pai Resort - SHA Plus

PLEASE STAY AWAY!! When we arrived we were chased by a flock of 5 wild dogs that jumped around our car and then chased us, the place looked empty and abandoned. The staff, though friendly, was not able to handle the dogs either and when we came to our room there was literal shit on the bed, spiderwebs and dead flies lying around, and the place seemed mouse infested. Everything was dirty and unhygienic, and the dogs kept following us everywhere with close contact. When we let the hotel management or whoever answers the emails via booking.com know that it was not possible to stay there due to health and safety hazards they would still refuse to provide a refund and ultimately ghosted us, terrible customer service and frankly, given the conditions, a complete scam. We had to book elsewhere and I lost a lot of money by making the mistake of booking here. Hope this review saves you from making the same mistake.

We stayed at the resort for 5 nights. We liked the location a lot as it was only a few miles out of town and we had a motorbike to explore all of beautiful Pai. The cabins were cute and the pool was really nice and a great place to hang out in the afternoon. We would stay there again

The property and resort felt a bit outdated and could have been more taken care of. And no matter how many times the staff tried to fix it, there wasn’t any hot water.

Beware the property does not match the photos displayed online. We were told the photos online date back to before covid. There is no lake, the gardens are untidy and unmanaged/scruffy. Despite a note in the room, there is no one available 24 hours a day, even on the phone number left. The staff only speak Thai, not English as per the advert. Our bathroom was disgusting, the toilet leaked, the shower was blocked up, and the shower curtain mouldy. We didn’t get a refill on shampoo except when asking. Also didn’t have clean glasses for brushing teeth (1 day out of 3 maybe). Extremely poor standard for the price. For the price paid, we expected more, at any least, what was advertised on booking.com and Baan Krating's own website. Baan Rating wouldn't offer ANY sort of compensation, and basically didn't want to know. We booked a deluxe pavilion double room, see for yourself, this is NOT deluxe!

Lovely peaceful resort. Very lovely bathrooms. Great hot water. Fridge and kettle for tea in the mornings. Gorgeous pool and a peaceful oasis. Very quiet at night and exceptionally friendly staff. 😊. Loved the short walk into town in the mornings.
