Acqua Piatta - L'Ostello del Canoa

Sono entrata nella camerata e subito ho sentito profumo di sapone di Marsiglia che mi ha dato subito una sensazione di pulito

Purtroppo le docce erano molto usurate e anche se pulite il colore delle tendine verso il basso era diverso e dava l'idea trascuratezza. Il gestore mi ha promesso però che tra qualche giorno sarebbe state nuove, allora son convinta che il mio futuro soggiorno sarà perfetto

Good hostel with all basic facilities in a great location with friendly staff.

It’s clean and bright but basic

Hostel catering to pilgrims on the Via Francigena, located on the cascades of the Dora river near the town center. Great that regular visitors are accepted, too. The kayak training canal and Ivrea Canoe Club are located right outside. Great views from some of the rooms and kitchen area. I was upgraded to a 2 person room, since the dorm was full. Very friendly staff! Well equipped kitchen area. Walk across the bridge to get into the old town. If you arrive by car/bike, there is parking available which can be a bit hard to find. Choose the first cul-de-sac off Via Dora Baltea next to the railway track, and go to the very end. The second one goes to the Canoe Club.

The location is great, just next to the river and close to the railway station. Kitchen was well equipped for preparing your own food and there the dining room was big.

The men's toilet upstairs was a bit dirty and smelling bad, though it was better the second day.
