Nice Flat in the heart of the City

1. The location is very close to the attractions. 2. The apartment is big with 2 rooms.

1. It’s very noisy at the night time until 4:00am 2. It’s located at 4th floor, no elevator, have to carry upstairs all the luggage.

Huge apartment, amazing location, comfortable beds, we arrived early and contacted the property and asked if we could drop our bags, they let us and the cleaner met let us in. Like how the toilet and shower are separate which is great when staying with friends. Ear plugs provided for the noise. Great bar and restaurant called urban next to it

Entrance is difficult to access during the night due to the bar blocking it with seating, funny smell when entering the block due to the restaurant. Lots of stairs to property

We underestimated the noise level and the parking. For us it was loud and the parking was expensive.

Apartment was large.

The comments that I read before booking were generally positive and did not make it clear that the 'nightlife district' of Luxembourg is very small and one of the noisiest bars/clubs is directly below the apartment. Music (thump, thump, thump...) and loud chatter continued until 3 a.m. We could not sleep at all. My wife and guests were distraught (I chose the apartment), so I informed the host of the problem and we left early. I found somewhere else for the second night. So if you are expecting a normal city apartment, don't book here. I'm not sure how frequent the music is but judging from the ear plugs left in the apartment, it is not unexpected. I'm disappointed that Booking.com did not make clear this important limitation.

Excellent apartment, I would live there if I could!! Clearly the host takes pride in the property and cares about the experience of the guest. The kitchen was well stocked, coffee, tea, spices. The laundry was great and she even had detergent (though we had our own). Decor was lovely and even had a bluetooth radio. The apartment location was well suited for a 5-10 minute walk everywhere. Yes it gets noisy at night but it is above a restaurant, frankly did not bother us and it was made very clear and the host left earplugs. The back bedroom has no noise. The rooms are all large and has a separate living room. The host was easily reachable and easy to work with.

The three flights of stairs may be problematic for those with health concerns or with babies/strollers.

The information sheet they sent out to find the address, information on how to get keys and get in, and information about the city was very well done and helpful.

We were 4 girls staying here over a weekend. I realized others have commented that it is loud because of the location but it was absolutely impossible to sleep. The music from the bar 3 floors down is SO loud and goes the whole night to the next morning we couldn’t sleep at all. The entry way to the apartment smells of old beer and staircase is sticky and extremely dirty. The apartment wasn’t cleaned very well. Fridge door shelves were dirty, dusty, but most of all the worst part is there is ALOT of mold above the shower on the ceiling. We didn’t feel comfortable there because of this. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend even though the host information sheet was very well done and informative.
