Southern Suites Pensacola Davis Hwy

Not for families/children. A lot of homeless & addicted folks constantly outside rooms, sitting on steps that I had to pass to get to my 2nd floor room brother on ground floor . Bed linens smelt of stale smoke, hair on bath towels, a spider on the ceiling, several roaches seen. Used car blankets on top of bed to get some rest could not sleep. Was 1 nights stay, brother had eye surgery & had a follow up appt next day or I would have left. Key did not work in either room in the morning 10:30 ck out at 11. No one in office, not answering phone, finally found house keeper to let me in. no pictures of office or outside of motel just the room on website Beware!

Smooth check in. The ladies were extremely nice and accommodating. Quiet area. Rooms were clean and updated.

The first room we were assigned to there was some type of trash on the unmade bed. The bed didn’t have sheets on it. There was a bag of trash on the floor and the room smelled badly of cigarettes. After complaining, we were assigned another room. The room just felt dirty. It was not in a safe area. There were people loitering around the building. It appeared quite a few people lived in the rooms. Would definitely not stay here again!

The cost of the stay was within my budget, but that is where it ends. The place needs an upgrade, the furniture was badly stained,the kitchen equipment was inadequate nothing i would cook with. Kitchen table was lopsided. The view from the balcony was gorgeous, but upon arrival it was dusty and hadn't been cleaned in a long time judging by the dead bugs, dust and spider webs. The air conditioner on my floor created puddles in the walkways. Many of the staff was very unprofessional having conversations about the availability of accommodations in front of guest, I had reservations when i arrived the room I reserved was not available instead of having worked things out in advance they talked about solutions in my presence. As i tried to meditate my stay the desk clerks werenthe most uncooperative, not wanting to remove wet towels from my room afte three days. At the end of my stay i was given compensation, but my trip was ruined because I was not comfortable in the room.

Couldn’t check in because of WiFi was down and still didn’t get my refund back !!

Very comfy in room. woke up to something I could only describe as a gunshot or firework going off right outside of my room around 8 am. was concerning. The lady at the front desk was very nice.
