Cork's Vienna Woods Hotel & Villas

Rundum zufrieden, es war alles bestens.

Clean and comfortable. Location is fine if driving but a nightmare if not.

The property needs a courtesy bus especially if guests are slightly incapacitated.

The food is excellent at Vienna Woods. The cooked breakfast is of the highest quality. The only area for improvement is regarding the continental breakfast. The choice of pastry was limited and that area feels a bit forgotten. However the cooked breakfast more than makes up for that. Vienna Woods clearly uses high quality local ingredients and the chef/ catering team are very talented. We also had dinner there and that is again exceptional. Every part of the dinner was amazing and I felt great value for money. Vienna Woods is perfect location for exploring the city, Cork county and further afield. The building itself is beautiful and the grounds are lovely. The parking is very accessible and there is ample parking available.The majority of the staff are very helpful and friendly.

The receptionist was not very friendly or helpful on arrival. She did her job but never welcomed us, did not explain about WiFi or any other details. She did help us with booking dinner but didn’t book our breakfast times correctly. I felt she could have been a lot more welcoming and to be enthusiastic about her job. It may have been she was just having a bad day so we did not complain. The rooms are in need of an update I think. The absence of air conditioning is just not acceptable in a 4 star hotel. I was aware of this before booking, however the electric fan left in the room was poor quality and the heat was oppressive. The rooms need to be redecorated and I would also suggest improving the shower in the bathroom. I think a little investment would make a huge difference here. I would stress that the overall experience is positive but that these areas are just for improvement.

This is the third time we've stayed here, and we really like the location, the rooms, the friendly staff, and the restaurant, where we usually enjoy dinner.

During our last few stays, we have experienced the same issue with noise and disturbances caused by celebrations and events. This property seems to be a popular venue for weddings and other gatherings. On our previous visit, a wedding was taking place, and several children attending the event were running up to the guest rooms and knocking on doors quite late at night. This time, the two rooms next to ours were occupied by a group of women who spent the evening and early morning drinking, shouting, and playing loud music. The hotel should pay closer attention to noise levels and guest disturbances to ensure a more comfortable stay for everyone.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit tollen, sauberen und komfortablen Zimmern. Es roch überall sehr gut. Sehr netter Empfang, Restaurant/ Bar angeschlossen, dort kann man den Abend noch gut ausklingen lassen. Super Frühstück.
