The location

The house was well worn, not maintained, ill equipped and dirty. I spent a good part of 5 days cleaning the place and to do this purchased a mop and bucket, toilet brush (their's were filthy), a dishrack, duvet, duvet cover (their duvets are disgusting) pillows, a spatula, bin for the bathroom and a myriad of cleaning products to make it livable. I did report it to the owners and their response was 'we'll send some cleaners', which I declined as their standards leave a lot to be desired.... There was even a grill pan full of old fat left in the oven. If we had any other option we would not have stayed there. It is far too expensive for the state of the property. Dirty carpets Filthy toilets Peeling paint (inside and out) Split doors Horrible smell from the cellar Weeds growing outside the property (now pulled up) This is listing a few of the issues I reported. To date, no recompense has been offered, although they have said they will improve for the next guests. For me the only plus is the location, close to the park (Abington) and not far from town. My advice - Avoid!
