The Loft at the Croft - Stunning rural retreat perfect for couples & dogs

We really loved the view and the bathtub was very nice.

The refrigerator didn't shut properly so the temperature was on max to keep the stuff in the fridge part cold enough, but the freezer compartment was completely iced over and the door was also broken. It would also have been nice if there was a microwave. There were no extra bags for the trash/recycle bins, and some of the dishes were dirty.

It was well situated for the event I was attending, a good place to stay with a dog, good facilities, TV had all the apps so you could find something to watch too. I really enjoyed staying at the loft.

Nothing really. It had everything I needed and was far nicer than a hotel and I would love to come back again

The property is situated in a beautiful scenic location. Witnessed some of the most incredible sunsets, with use of the fire pit provided. Beautiful properly, well thought through and well executed. Huge shower, comfortable bed and ample storage. Made to feel very welcome by the hosts Phip and John.

A vacuum or sweeping brush would have been useful as we ended up using the dust pan and brush. Some plates/glasses, oven trays and cutlery were dirty.

Location was quiet with good access to A38

Second time we have stayed here, it’s such a lovely place set in wonderful scenery. It’s perfect for a couple for a short stay.

Plug in the bath was fiddly and seemed broken to start with, other half did manage to sort it and I had the best soak of my life in there!

Small but perfectly formed, we were blessed with very warm weather and were able to ventilate the property well with the dormer windows. Bed really comfortable and good facilities for preparing food (although we went out for meals, haha!). Parking is right outside and the setting is stunning, overlooking fields with two beautiful friendly horses nearby.

It did get warm - admittedly it was exceptionally warm but utilising the blinds and windows and the fan included in the cupboard meant it was manageable - otherwise everything was faultless!

Rural setting. Peaceful.
