Mai Holiday by Mai Khaolak - Adult Zone

The breakfast was great and the buggy staff were very accommadating

The smell of the pool towels were not good and smelt like wet dog. The Thais restaurant pad thai and the seafood platter were not good.

The adult zone was nice, with pool bar. The breakfast was great.

This is an all-inclusive resort hotel, full of families and activities tailored for people lounging at the hotel during their trip. The adult zone is nice, very quiet, and with a lovely pool. The rooms are spacious and well kept. The view from the 5th floor was gorgeous. The sky restaurant is also very nice (a bit overpriced for the food quality),but the staff was super nice, and the ambience is lovely. The hotel staff is very helpful, always trying to help you with the inquiries, and giving you the best tips. Free shuttle to and back from the village, a lovely beachfront with local market, massages, and cheap laundry hehe.

As a couple who loves to travel and explore, this resort was not convienely located and far from the village. We couldn't rent a motorbike from the beach front as they all were gone at 9am, and had to walk/find another option,which was far from the hotel. The taxi prices are outrageous - 300 and 400 thb to drive 2 km... The resort is very family oriented,so you will be surrounded by kids all the time. People leave their towels overnight to secure the spot on the beach and the pool, and the hotel staff do not collect them. We had a huge argument with the lady on the beach who claimed she put her towel on the chair at 8am, algought we were there before 8 and she was not there. She kept screaming and offending us for taking her chair, and since then, we found a nicer beach nearby where no one screams at you. This is really not the hotel's fault, but tells you a lot of what sort of people stay in this hotel. The breakfast was not great - warm juices, very limited offer. The hotel food (buffet) is not worth the money (if you have not paid for all-inclusive). Overall, we were expecting a bit more of this hotel, but it is also not the worst one.

Lovely hotel. Staff in restaurants were amazing. Staff in the reception were nice, but they always had to get a manager to answer questions. The managers seem a bit abrupt.

Went for NYE where we paid 6,000 bhart each for the gala. It was such a lot of money with a very poor experience. The staff tried their best but the event was overpriced massively. This is UK prices for an amazing NYE. It was that poor we ended up walking out and going to the beach instead. We also paid for an extra night and asked twice for our room to be cleaned and it was just ignored. A bad end to our amazing Thailand trip to be honest.
