Large Downtown Condo W/ Patio & Parking

The good: host was accommodating to early check in and respectful throughout the process. Easy key handover. The place was spacious and had cool amenities such as peloton bike, bar area, large TVs, pool, etc. Overall the place has a lot of potential to be a good stay, but...

The bad... The place wasn't really clean, had a lot of dusty spots, the outside area was practically unusable since it was full of dust, and, the worst part, the room had giant windows with no blinds. It had a street light post facing right into the room, so it was basically like sleeping with the lights on. Host response was "oh, I'm sorry I forgot to mention on Booking post, but the Airbnb one clearly states it!". Very useful information. I tried to not be annoying and spent a night, where it was almost impossible to sleep, so I ended up requesting to leave and booked somewhere else, which ended up being very expensive. Host response was to refund half of the money, when I believe it should be 3/4 of the total since I only spent one night and it was their responsibility to inform about this issue. Not sure if it's a new trend that I'm not familiar, but I can't really see why a normal person wouldn't have blinds on the room, both for obvious privacy concerns and also for the lights.
