The Stables, quiet & central to Bingham

The accommodation was fairly nice in terms of the building, which combined a modern and historical feel. It was also spacious and was well cleaned. The welcome pack was nice.

There is no parking at the site, at the time of booking and writing this review there are no warnings that there is no parking, indeed the q&a for the property says parking is available on site. Instead we had a message with the arrival details saying there was no parking and that we had to park and walk. This took us almost half an hour as it is a busy town and most parking is pay and display fairly far from the property. As it was we finally manged to park nearby (on the busy main road) and still had to take our luggage up the lane which was also a little steep, and again on departure. The whole experience was rather stressful. Maybe for some it would be worth it for a longer stay but only stopping the night it we would not have booked had we known. The other facilities were also lacking the showerroom and toilet are very dated and have no opening window, there is no draining board in the sink and the pans are old and rusted, other dining and cookware could be improved. The beds felt a little worn-out. It felt as though too much attention was paid to things like gadgets and advanced heating and not enough on the basics.Over-all it was a disappointment and I feel not very good value for money.

The Stables is a fantastic place to stay. It was very clean, comfortable and we all felt relaxed and at home there. There was everything that you could need available at the property and having a dishwasher was a bonus too! We would definitely like to stay again.

There isn't really anything that I didn't like, if I was nitpicking I would say I would have liked a few more towels, the big bath sheets as I like getting wrapped up after my showers and maybe the shower could have been better but these points are only my preference nothing really to do with the accommodation.

Peaceful and quiet couldn’t ask for anything better.
