STAY SA Equipped Studios in Guest House next to UOB and QE!

Location was great for the Uni, everything else was terrible.

The studios are communal. Kitchen has no cooking or eating equipment. My actual room was tiny and windowless, only a small velux window for ventilation, with a permanent blind on it so no natural light. I left it open a crack and it leaked rainwater all over my suit, ipad and the floor. The state of the flooring showed I was not the first to fall foul of this. Completely mis-represented in the ad.

Location is ideal for anything happening at the university, and there are lots of shops / cafes nearby.

Very noisy, both from outside and creaky floorboards. Not recommended if you’re a light sleeper.

Excellent location with a less than 10 minute walk to the University of Birmingham. Very close to public transport bus and railways. Comfortable bed and well equipped kitchenette. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. Wifi was very good and has a large TV with multiple channels.

Bathroom was relatively small, and the room space was a bit small.

Although I arrived a little earlier than expected, the hosts were quickly contactable by phone and sorted my entry to the property by providing me with the code for the key safe next to the front door.

There were no loo rolls on my arrival. I reported this by phone to the host. She apologised. There was a little delay before loo rolls were delivered to the room. I imagine this is a fault that is unlikely to be repeated, but it's a good job I wasn't desperate! I was also told that there might be a problem with the cable tv - the host was up front about this. But that wasn't an issue for me as I didn't want to watch tv, so it might be that the cable tv was fine.
