The location

Getting a bit tired

Close to Ferry Nice view We removed the bug automatic spray as it gave me a migraine, I forgot to put it back when we left, I contacted the owners to apologise.

The owners instructed us to let them know when we arrived and left. We needed to do washing so selection was on that basis, the washing machine was not working and our washing was in the machine with some water, we requested help from the owners and never heard from them, luckily we were able to get our washing out. There was a long list of instructions of what we had to do if we didn't want to incur an extra cleaning charge! The sofa bed in the living room was very uncomfortable. The worst thing was the front and back door keys, it was so difficult to lock, this is not an expensive thing to rectify.

Great location, very close to the beach and the ferry terminal to get over to Whitianga.

The unit is definitely in need of refurbishment. The kitchen cupboard was smelly, the water tank outside the back door looked disgusting, both the front and back doors were very difficult to lock/unlock. There were instructions on how to use the TV and box, but the remote provided was not the correcty one. The outdoor decking/bbq area was old and shabby. There was a broom in the unit, but no brush and pan to pick up dust and dirt from the floor. When I booked on booking.com it was stated payment was on arrival. I then received several emails asking for payment. It was not a straightforward booking as I had imagined it would be. Would I go back here - NO

Location

We had unit 4 which had a lovely view of the sea. Accommodation clean and comfortable and bonus was the washing machine (for getting the togs clean!). Great location for enjoying the beaches and exploring the area. Really enjoyed our stay. Host very welcoming and helpful too.

No oven which worried me at first having just bought supplies including pizza, but then discovered the air fryer!
