"Great large property, but needs a bit of an update"

The location is perfect, really quiet area and a 10/15min walk to the centre. Size of property is fantastic, beds are comfy and kitchen is huge. 2 parking spaces. Communication was fantastic, and when we had a problem with a door handle it was fixed with 24 hrs of reporting. Cannot fault communication at all.

The shower in the main bathroom is hand held with no shower screen or curtain, a nightmare to use. There is a lack of forks and oven trays in the property, 3 forks was not great. The property has a lot of wear and tear, could do with updating and the cleanliness downstairs could have been better.

"A nice clean, quiet house with Parking. 5 minutes walk to station and 10 minutes to city centre."

Very clean, great location and the agency that rented to us kept in touch very clearly and called us the day after arrival to check everything was okay

Nothing that the agency could sort out, but the lounge felt small and dark due to the fact that there was a large wooded area immediately behind the property. Still a decent size kitchen with table for 6 meant that you could chat in there. Also, the twin bedroom was very small with the beds pushed against the walls and up to and covering the window. Finally, the main bathroom had a shower head but no curtain so you weren't able to use it as a shower over the bath.

"Well situated, well looked after, modern, clean and comfy."

This is the real deal. It's a modern, well-maintained property, in a very quiet residential neighbourhood. The rooms are clean and well-proportioned, and the beds and furniture are comfortable. The wifi signal is strong and the TV is a modern LG which works well once you've got to grips with the operating system. There is a decent washing machine, and also a dishwasher that isn't listed among the property's facilities. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a few caveats (see below). Connections to the centre via public transport are good - there's a tram stop a little over 5 minutes' walk away and a bus stop that's only a couple of minutes stroll. The train station is also easily accessible on foot. The property managers are very attentive. We had a minor issue with the plumbing (it happens) which was sorted out rapidly and without fuss.

These are minor gripes, since we really enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of knives and spoons, but only a few forks and teaspoons, which was awkward when our son and his partner joined us for a meal. Most properties of this kind that we've stayed in had a Nespresso or similar coffee maker, and perhaps the landlord could think of investing £60 or so in one; there's only a cafetiere at the moment. There are no shops within easy walking distance. The nearest is the M&S Food in the station, which is geared more to the needs of travellers than people stocking up for a few days, and there are better-stocked small supermarkets if you venture uphill towards Hallam University. The nearest large supermarket is a 10 minute drive.

"Sheffield 3-Bedroom Stay"

Lovely spacious house in walking distance of town centre, tram and train station. Parking space outside was very helpful, quiet location and neighbourhood. Nice to to be able to log into our netflix account on the TV

Cleanliness was not of a high standard - marks on the walls and in the showers and kitchen. Lots of dust and dirt on the blinds and skirtings. Cleaning fee was expensive given the house had not been cleaned professionally. The beds were not very comfy and neither the beds not the pillows had protectors on. En suite shower either boiling or freezing. Lovely home with lots of poten pictures bytial as a holiday let but just needs some TLC.
