The location was ideal for where we needed the accommodation. Also has off road parking.

There was a delay with getting the details to the property as the deposit payment hadn't been taken & didn't get any information about this until 1hr out from arrving at our location after a 8hr drive, finally got it sorted and were able yo get to the location ( the deposit is for any breakages etc when we arrived there was plenty broken ) The home had a odd smell when we walked in everyday to the property, its very dated and needs some updating, its basic, there were broken rails on the sliding wardrobe in the main bedroom, fencing outdoors broken and missing parts of it and in terrible state, bathroom window opens and drops and makes it difficult to close, toilet seat half off, shower cubicle was filthy and black had to unscrew the shower plug to see why the water wasnt running away and it was completely clogged and rank. Beds extremely uncomfortable and we all got bites all over our legs while at the place. Very poorly maintained definitely nothing like the photos won't ever stay here again which is ashame as location is ideal.

Location was very nice to train station! The distance for walking to the beach & town center was longer than we hoped for. However, we were aware of the location and we knew how far we were going to walk. Liked having twin beds in one of the bedrooms, which happened to have the 2 windows that would open. Liked having some streaming channels to view in the evenings. The downstairs sitting area & dinning table was quite nice. The kitchen counters were clean & appreciated the soap, paper towels & scrubby. With a little added TLC, this property & experience could have bumped up this review. The hosts & folks who sent emails were quick to respond to any questions or inquiries! I wish the property best wishes for the future!! Seaham is a delightful seaside town!

House was hot as most of the windows did not open. 2 days into our stay, requested fans & some bathroom hand soap was delivered. We did enjoy the fans for the last 2 days of our stay. We did think the vacuuming could have been better in the corners & behind the twin beds and the window sills wiped free of dust. Kitchen had crumbs on the floor in the lil pantry. Thought the property should have had the weeds pulled & the area tidy! Back patio looked worn. *Pots of flowers or hanging baskets would have cheered up the initial impression*. Curb appeal is important when listing property for vacation rental. Folks don’t want to see weeds & debris in the garden beds. Simplistic w/o any wow!
