Luxury Hanok Stay Nuri

노후인지는 모르겠으나.. 욕실 특유의 냄새가 방에서 계속 나서 좀 기분이 안 좋았습니다.

We liked that it was in the Bukchon Hanok Village so we got a taste of how locals live in their traditional houses. The house was very clean, especially the modern bathrooms. The host was very responsive. The extras such as coffee and tea and some condiments provided convenience. The foot bath amenity was a delight especially after our first day of walking around the area --- the soothing hot foot bath with bath salts was a nice end-of-day treat!! The free wifi with a projector screen also provided some relaxing / unwinding options...overall, it was a pleasant experience especially for our 2 companions who visited Seoul for the first time!

There was not enough space for our luggage and for our clothes to be brought out for easier daily access. The beds were softer than desired (we prefer a firmer mattress). Having a full length mirror would be nice so you can check your OOTD. While it was nice to be among Hanoks, the walk home after a full day of sightseeing can be tiring as the streets to our place were quite hilly. It might not be a problem for the younger ones, though, but can be challenging for older tourists like us.

The place was very spacious and beautiful! The water filter was an excellent pro.

The property was up on a big hill, but it wasn't hard to get to.

Stay Nuri is located in a beautifully restored hanok is a very quiet area of Seoul close to some major sightseeing. We are a family of 4 adults and while small, the place worked well for us and was a lovely experience. The beds are very comfortable, the place is immaculately clean, the master bath and shower were very nice and functional - the other bathroom has a hand shower that works OK, but not as convenient. the main sitting area has a sunken floor around the table and doubles as a footbath - seems odd but was a very nice experience! The small kitchen seems to be very workable, but we did not use it. We had several queries for the management and the response times were fairly quick.

There are signs all over the place inside the unit to remind us to be quiet. This was a bit annoying and can make it feel like one is being over-watched (I recommend to the owner removing the giant yellow sign at least - its obnoxious). Unfortunately during our stay, the outdoor tub was not operational, not a major problem for us and we were notified beforehand. The rooms are very small and storing luggage is a challenge as there is no storage space. Uber/taxi pick up was not available next to the unit which was a minor inconvenience. All of the shops, restaurants, cafes are a relatively quick walk downhill - but you will eventually have to come back up hill (again, not a problem for us but some might find this a challenge). metro is not particularly close.

Really beautiful place to stay and great area to walk around and visit. It’s a residential neighborhood to you need to be quiet and cannot run the hot tub in the evening because it gets really loud and it takes a long time to fill it up with water. The house was really comfortable and beautiful
