The Pyramid - Glamping at Karuna El Nido

Location was perfect overlooking spectacular views from the pyramids

There is no public transportation to get up to the reception area to check in- instructions needs to be provided how to get there and they have a complimentary tuk tuk service to take u to reception you just need to tell them you need someone to pick you

The view was amazing, the rooms were as very clean, the staff were all very friendly.

The step hill, but you just need to get the driver to take you up & down the hill.

Room was nice and the view is great

We stayed in the Glass Pyramid and the AC didn’t work initially, which made the room something of a greenhouse. The hotel is located at the top of a very steep hill which cannot be walked. The hotel offer a complimentary shuttle up and down the hill, but there seemed only to be one vehicle. This meant that, if the vehicle was already in use elsewhere, you could be stranded in town without being able to get back up to the hotel. I made the reservation with booking.com, paying for the stay in advance. However, upon checking out, the reception gave me a bill for the cost of the room, which I told them I had already paid for, and I provided proof of receipts etc. After going back and forth, the hotel realised that they had forgotten to take my payment in advance and I therefore needed to pay the outstanding balance. I was, of course, more than happy to do this, but they texted and called me multiple times in the middle of the night, even threatening to go to the police when I did not answer the phone at three o’clock in the morning. This strikes me as a very unprofessional thing to do when it was their error in the first place.

The Pyramid accommodation was great with amazing views. Pool facility and views were excellent. Food was good as well a service. I would recommend staying at Karina rather in El Nido town.

Service could have been better however it was admit a big negative.
