2 Bedroom Caravan SHS3, Sandhills, Bembridge

A great location for the beach and costal path. Quiet site and very clean and comfortable accommodation. We liked that there was Internet connection and it was a dog-free site and a five minute or less walk to a great private sandy beach. Close to Bembridge, Sanddown and Shanklin.

Really lovely spacious caravan on a very quiet site. Fantastic views of the sea. We had a great stay. Every day it was a delight to return to the caravan to watch the ships. They have thought of every thing you could need. Would definitely stay again if returning to IOW.

My only problem was the bed was a bit small for us. At one point in the description it says large double bed so I had been hoping for a larger than double. However everything else about the caravan was so well presented.

Lovely caravan, the added extras such as milk, washing up liquid and games were a nice touch. When I had trouble working the boiler I had a call back within a few minutes of my message and was talked through the steps.

Very well situated. Everything we needed inside. Clean and tidy. Plenty of room.

It said there were 2 bathrooms but actually it was one shower room with toilet and basin and one toilet with sink. For 2 couples not ideal. Allowed in time 5 pm was quite late and you had to be out by 10am. Had to strip bedding. Lane up to site had a few potholes.

Nothing , an absolute remote place with nothing.

The holiday started with poor communication from IOW vacations , unsure of whom I spoke to but he was adamant that he wasn't giving us the key access code until 4pm , he'd even mentioned 5pm on arrival day !! After travelling for 9.5 hours we just needed to get in the caravan. The postcode on our sat nav lead us to culver cliff tops , nowhere near the park ( so be aware of this ) Now for the negatives : Caravan reeked of cigarette smoke & stale nicotine. This caravan is definitely outdated say a late 1990s model and for the price of it , it is well over priced !! Shoddy seating areas , tacky worktops , but the worst part is the fire place , the electric fire has been bodged over an existing gas aperture!! The side trim clearly been glued on came off whilst we were trying to work out how to use it ..it was very cold inside and there was no heating at all as described through booking.com, we had to rely on the bodged up electric fire which was wired up to an extension lead which was clearly overloaded !!! The water didn't get very hot , when it came to bedtime I was aghast when my partner realised the bed linen had been slept in and unwashed !! We then decided to use spare duvets etc from the twin room, only to discover they were covered in pet hairs and smelled of dog / stale vomit ! We also ended up with a couple of insect bites iam certain from this place I have never encountered anything like this ever ,we decided to look for alternative accomodation elsewhere finding a perfect lodge for a lot less than the price of this SH3 at sanshills !! I then had a family emergency on the mainland and had to return off the island for a short while , leaving my partner settled in our new lodge accommodation elsewhere on the island , we made enquiries to seek a partial refund as this accommodation did not meet the description in the booking.com .

Lovely caravan. Perfect for our family mini break. Very well stocked with appliances, utensils and crockery. Milk, tea, coffee & biscuits on arrival was a lovely touch.

Great location. We had a car but may be tricky to get around if relying on public transport.
